Dr. Ventre began his studies at the University of Puerto Rico at the age of 16, earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology and Science. He continued his medical studies at San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Caguas, Puerto Rico, and ultimately earned his medical degree. From there, he went to Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Cabrini Medical Center in New York, dedicating his first year as a resident to internal medicine before choosing to focus on Psychiatry in his second year. Dr. Ventre went on to completed his residency at the University of Florida Psychiatry Program.
Today Dr. Peter Ventre is President and psychiatrist of his own practice, Ventre Medical Associates, which he opened in 2011. VMA also employs 3 additional Psychiatrists, a Nurse Practitioner and a Physician Assistant. He is also the President, CEO, and Principal Investigator of Research Centers of America, which he opened in 2012. Both of these institutions are located in Oakland Park, FL.With Ventre Medical Associates, Dr. Ventre has built a very active outpatient practice. His patients range in age from young children to elderly adults. He is fully bilingual and conducts his outpatient clinical practice and clinical research company in both English and Spanish.
In addition, Dr. Peter Ventre is the Medical Director for Destination Hope and Recovery First, adult treatment centers for addiction. Dr. Ventre is the current Chief of Psychiatry at Broward Health Medical Center which was voted on in 2014.
Sandeep Mendiratta, MD

Dr. Mendiratta is double board certified and has completed a combined B.S./M.D. accelerated program through Northeast Ohio Medical University. He then trained at the University of Florida and subsequently became a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Mendiratta has significant clinical inpatient and office experience with adults, adolescent, and children across different disciplines of psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, and addiction medicine. Dr. Mendiratta is also ECT (electroconvulsive therapy) certified and Suboxone certified for opiate addiction. He serves also as a Clinical Investigator at Research Centers of America contributing clinical research in over 25 clinical trials.
Dr. Mendiratta also is a Clinical Assistant Professor on the faculties of The University of Miami/Jackson School of Medicine and the Florida International University/Herbert Wertheim School of Medicine with numerous awards in teaching, including being a past recipient of the prestigious Excellence in Medicine Teaching Award.
Dr. Mendiratta is the Chief of Psychiatry at Broward Health Imperial Point, which was voted on in 2014.
Dr. Nelson Cordero, MD
Dr. Cordero was born and raised in Moca, PR. Dr. Cordero went to College at the University of Puerto Rico. Earning his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology and Science while graduating Magna Cum laude. He continued his medical studies at Universidad Central del Caribe; School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, earning his Doctorate of Medicine.
Dr. Cordero participated in Research as an undergrad at Rutgers New Jersey and did Research during Med School at Columbia University and New York State Psychiatric Institute.
Dr. Cordero completed residency in Psychiatry at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.
